01)Another Year 新的一年 Read Psalm 23
David was certain that/
goodness and mercy would follow him
all the day of his time.
This truth gives every trusting child of God
assurance,
especially on the threshold of a new uncertain year.
France Ridley Havergal (1836-1879), like David,
was confident of her heavenly Father's gracious purpose for her life
and she knew that/
God will be with her always.
These truths moved her to write :
*Another year is dawning. Dear Father, let it be.
In waiting or in working,
another year with Thee.
Another year of progress.
Another year of praising.
Another year of proving Thy presence all the days.
Another year of mercies, of faithfulness and grace.
Another year of gladness in the shining of Thy face.
Another year of leaning on Thy loving breast.
Another year of trusting, of the quiet and happy rest.
Another year of services, of the witness for Thy love.
Another year of training for holier work above.
*Another year is dawning. Dear Father let it be.
On earth or else in heaven, another year for working for Thy.
